Located in Delray on the strip where literally 40+ other restaurants are within walking distance, Papa's Tapas gives the vibe of quite a little hot spot.
Large range menu with almost too many options, we wanted to dive head first into their Tapas menu. Overall, the food was underwhelming with exception to their Lamb Chops and surprisingly their Beef Empanadas. Most of the food was shockingly bland (the chorizo was actually a kielbasa and yes there is a huge difference) and greasy. Aioli on potatoes seemed store bought, not made. Their Tres Leches was tasty, but overall we don't intend to make a second visit... maybe for their 50% off Tapas Tuesday.

We went for dinner on a Wednesday and ordered entirely from the long tapas menu, skipping the main entrees. Spanish omelet, garbanzo/chorizo, patatas bravas and tostones tapas were very good. Jamon Serrano was okay; surprised they did not have the higher-quality Jamon Iberico. The wine list was limited, but had decent options from Ribera del Duero. Our server seemed somewhat inexperienced, but was caring and kind - not a problem. Our seating was odd - 80% of the tables were empty yet the greeter sat us right next to another couple, wherein our tables were practically touching. We assumed that other reservations would soon be filling the small restaurant, but the place was 70% empty when we were finished. We were not there for Happy Hour, but noted they have good HH values.

The food, service and atmosphere were amazing. Coming here for the first time was enough to know this will be my go to restaurant for the friendly server Lorenzo and even better food like the quesadilla at an even more affordable price.

Everything tasted so good!! The seafood platter was chef’s kiss, the calamari was
Great. The lamb… plantain… EVERYTHING!!
I am giving the food 4 stars because of one specific reason (in my opinion) it was too salty. Just like when you adding spice(hot peppers ) in the food, you have to be mindful of every single person that will be eating it, to me Salt is the same.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that the food wasn’t great. On the other hand, everything was cooked to perfection tasted delicious, but the salt was also a lot.
I would definitely recommend the place. The paella was so good that I had to bring it home. But also on the other hand, I would ask them for less salt next time when I visit

Cute place! We sat outside and enjoyed it. The meatballs, empanadas, and the sweet plantains covered in bacon were amazing! Now my husband doesn’t want plantains any other way .
